Historic Wine Cellar of Strasbourg Hospices

This wine is part of the “1926” range in homage to the 90th anniversary of the Cave Jean Geiler in 2016. New vintages from our best terroirs, which make them very good wines to keep.
After an appropriate pressing in our pneumatic presses, each wine is vinified with the greatest care and then aged for several months on fine lees to gain in structure and reveal their best aromatic expression.
The colour is a deep garnet red with fine purple highlights. The first nose is dominated by fine notes of Burlat cherry and a hint of vanilla. Aeration quickly gives us a great complexity of aromas, ranging from fresh oak to caramel, blueberry and small red fruits. The palate is in tune with the nose, with a very nice complexity, present but smooth and ripe tannins that accompany us until a very long finish, where the red fruits.
