Historic Wine Cellar of Strasbourg Hospices

This Pinot Noir, from our own vines and vinified by us, was aged for more than 6 months in the prestigious cellar of the Hospices Civiles de Strasbourg.
This vineyard is cultivated on the prestigious Kirchberg de Barr Grand Cru. Harvested after a meticulous sorting, the grapes are put in vat for a fortnight in order to extract their colour and perfumes.
The soil work allows the limestone terroir of Kirchberg de Barr to express itself fully in this great red wine for ageing. The colour is ruby red with beautiful tears and purple reflections. Notes of morello cherry and red fruits delight the taste buds. A light woody touch accompanies this wine with reminiscences of Burgundy. A nice fresh finish for a wine to be kept.
